Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2017

2017 RESULTS

Race start 9:00am

Franklin Park Golf Clubhouse

One Circuit Drive, Dorchester, MA 02121

Run or walk the beautiful paths of “jewel” of the Emerald Necklace to start your Thanksgiving Day!  The scenic 3.1 mile route includes the most beautiful and historic views of Franklin Park. All ages and paces welcome!  Strollers and race-ready leashed dogs are welcome!

Great Prizes for fast finishers and costumes!

Chip timed!

This event supports the Franklin Park Coalition’s programs and events: woodlands restoration, youth programs, fitness activities and more year-round.

Race Day Information


Number pick up and in-person registration Wed. and Race Day.  Once again we offer number pick up from 4-7 pm on Wednesday Nov 22nd, at JP Licks (659 Centre St., Jamaica Plain). You can also register in person at JP Licks.
Please note that race day registration may be limited.

Race day number pick up starts at 8 am at the golf club house.  1 Circuit Drive, Boston MA.

Parking
Due to construction in the park, the club house parking lot is closed.  However there is ample parking along Circuit Drive, in the parking lot across the street, and in the circle by the exit towards Blue Hill Ave.  There's additional parking .3 miles down Circuit Drive in an additional parking lot and by the zoo rear entrance.  Please leave a few minutes extra time to accommodate the parking being a bit further away this year.

Course change and gathering for the start.  Due to pathways improvement construction, the first mile of the course will be in a closed traffic-free Circuit Drive! Please see our new route here.  http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/1855583363

Since the road is not closed until shortly before the start, please do your best to stay out of the road.  The optimal place for lining up is across the street from the club house, by the porta potties and towards Blue Hill Ave.

Restrooms

The golf clubhouse will be open, but be advised that the bathrooms only have a few stalls.  We will have porta potties as well.  Leave plenty of time in case there is a line.  

Bag Check

We will not have bag check, sorry.

Watch your step!

Please be aware that in some locations on the course, the condition of the paving or concrete is poor.  

Awards & Results

We’ll have awards for the male and female overall winners, age group first place winners, and for runners in the best costumes, the fastest dog, and fastest stroller at approximately 9:50 inside the clubhouse.
